What is your favourite song in the show to perform?

I’m torn between ‘While My Guitar’, ‘I Want You’ and ‘You Never Give Me Your Money’ but I’m going to go for ‘WMGGW’

What is your favourite Beatles song to listen to?

I’m going to go for ‘A Day in the Life’ as that is one I don’t play in and I get a front row seat listening to it when we perform it.

How did you get into The Beatles?

I got into the Beatles when I was learning the guitar as a child and my dad taught me arrangements of their songs. Chet Atkins was a big influence for me and my Dad had the album ‘Chet Atkins Picks on the Beatles’ which I used to love listening to.

What other music/bands do you like?

I love classical guitar with John Williams being one of my favourite players. Love the flamenco music of Paco de Lucia. Also enjoy listening to Dire Straits, Jethro Tull, Chas and Dave and have a soft spot for Country and Western.

Who is your favourite Beatle?

George Harrison.

Which gig has been your favourite so far?

My favourite gig so far has to be the Pavilion in Glasgow.

Funniest off-stage story with the band.

It still tickles me when I think of the disappointment on Uncle Paul’s face when he had his big maraca taken away which he shook with such enthusiasm in ‘Strawberry Fields’ and had it swapped to those little bells which he didn’t like…his face was a picture!
